CURRENT TEAM "W" MEMBERS
Ritu Shah is currently pursuing my PhD in Health Outcomes Research and Policy at the Auburn University. She has a Master's in Health Outcomes Research and Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Yi Zhao is a PhD student. She recently completed a Masters of Public Health degree from University of Alabama-Birmingham. She joined the team in 2018 and became Dr. Westrick's advisee. She is interested in implementation sciences and exploring the area of healthcare services for patients with Alzheimer's disease.
NeCall joined our Team in August 2019. She is a PhD Student in the Health Outcomes Research and Outcomes program. She previously completed her Executive Masters of Business degree at Kennesaw State University (GA) and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Campbell University (NC). She is currently working on research with the R34 Opioid Naloxone Counseling Program as well as the Community Based Pharmacy Practice Base Program.
Kavon is a first year pharmacy student at Harrison School of Pharmacy. He has worked with Dr. Westrick in Team W since Summer 2018. He received Auburn University Undergraduate Fellowship in Summer 2019 and led a project to enhance our understanding about how Medicare patients select their Part D plans.
Tinia is currently a third-year pharmacy student at the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. She previously attended Troy University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016. Tinia’s pharmacy and research interests include: emergency medicine, ambulatory care, and bridging the gap in underserved populations.
GRADUATED TEAM MEMBERS
Stuart McFarland was an undergraduate student in Team W. He is now a medical student at University of South Alabama.
Tessa Hastings earned her PhD degree in 2019. She is now an Assistant Professor at University of South Carolina, College of Pharmacy.
Lindsey Hohmann is earned her PhD degree in 2019. She is now Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at School of Pharmacy, Auburn University.
Ben Teeter earned a PhD degree in Fall 2016, under my supervision. He is now an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Sara Wattayanukorn is now an ORISE Fellow at FDA/Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). She completed a M.S. thesis under Salisa's supervision.
Michelle Blakely completed her dissertation under my supervision, as a co-advisor. She is now an Assistant Professor at School of Pharmacy in Wyoming.
Mr. Fella is a Westie and has been designated as the Westrick's team Westrick mascot since 2009.
